Rock Solid
Rock Solid is our Youth Group for children in
the P7 to S3 age group. We meet most Sunday mornings at 10.20am
in Chapel of Garioch Village Hall and then join the congregation
in Chapel Church for the end of morning worship. Our meetings
consist of games, chat and puzzles.
COGS
COGS is our Youth Group for young people in the
S3 and older age group. We meet fortnightly on Wednesday nights
in Chapel of Garioch Village Hall from 7.30pm to 8.30pm. Our meetings
start with a theme for discussion and sometimes a game and finish
with time to have a chat with friends.
Sunday School
Chapel Sunday School
Sunday School is for children aged 4 years up
to P6. We meet most Sunday mornings firstly in church at the start
of the service then at around 11.20am move out to Chapel of Garioch
Village Hall.
Blairdaff Family Sundays
The service is based on the needs of the younger
children with songs and simple hymns being used and repeated.
Although the material for the entire service is aimed at younger
children, the service is open for all.
At the end, the children are taken for a short
period of Sunday School work while the parents can enjoy a cup
of tea and a time of fellowship.
Study Group
Blairdaff and Chapel of Garioch have a study
group that meets every Thursday evening during term time at
7.30pm
in Blairdaff Church.
This is a small group of people who come together
to share some simple food, chat and then have some spiritual input.
This can be by way of videos, DVDs, spiritual books, times of
quiet, discussions and visiting speakers. Recently we had a pastor
from Malawi and a former MAF missionary from Kenya sharing something
of their experiences of life and ministry in their country and
their reflections on life, religious and secular, in this country.
This is an open group to which all
are welcome, our desire being to grow in love together and encourage
one another in the faith.
The Guild
The Guild meets on the third Wednesday
of every month from September through April. It meets in the vestry,
Chapel of Garioch, unless the guest speaker requires additional
space/ facilities. Meetings take place at 7:30pm and guests/ new
members are always welcome. (It is no longer the Woman’s
Guild and is open to members of both sexes!).
